MULTIMEDIA DESIGNER – FLASH / HTML PART-TIME/INTERN

NewGround is seeking a talented Multimedia Design Intern to join its dynamic design team, 10-20 paid hours a week. The core focus of this position will be the maintenance of client management websites as well as creating animated graphics from concept to finished art for video displays and multimedia presentations.
The ideal candidate will be able to function as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team. The ability to follow direction is a must. This position will offer the right person a fun and creative atmosphere to learn and grow. Applicant must have knowledge of HTML/hard code as well as artistic vision and drive to take projects from conception to completion, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, consistency and efficiency. This position requires a highly motivated and organized individual that is willing to diversify and multi-task.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Dreamweaver and web design a must.
• Knowledge and experience with PC Based Macromedia Flash/Swish, Action Scripts, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign. (Macromedia Director and Adobe After Effects a plus.)
• Experience with back-end development technologies (PHP, MySQL, AJAX, Ruby on Rails, Javascript) is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of computer hardware and networking are also desirable.
• Strong visual style and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color, images, and interactivity impact design.
• Ability to clearly communicate with staff in a professional manner.
