We have an immediate need for a Senior Project Architect with sound knowledge of building regulations and construction detailing to work on a range of commercial projects for large financial institutions. This seasoned professional will work with a dynamic and highly motivated management group based in the US along with our clients based in London. This role will appeal to an architect who will take full ownership of a project from its early stages and see it through to completion. The position requires a committed, hands-on team player to develop the design concept, manage and work with the design team and deliver a high profile final product.

Job Summary:
The Senior Project Architect serves as the leader of the project team, and is responsible for all administration, production and coordination associated with the project, as well as representing the company to the client. The Senior Project Architect is an experienced, design professional that has a strong background in generating and translating concepts into final solutions, in directing a project design team and in materials and methods of construction.

Requirements:
• Architectural registration preferred
• Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects preferred
• Bachelor of Architecture degree
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in leading construction design teams on large projects / programs. Financial industry experience is desirable. Must have significant UK experience in commercial projects.
• Specific experience in architectural design, alternative work environments, project management, and construction management.
• Must possess strong business acumen, the ability to drive results through others, strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Ability to integrate and coordinate all disciplines into the building project
• Must be an accomplished communicator across all levels of the design and the client team
• Must possess substantial experience in project management including architectural design, alternative work environments, construction document preparation and field observation, knowledge of building materials, specification and construction techniques, knowledge of engineering disciplines to evaluate and coordinate work done by consultants
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects while working with minimal guidance and supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize personal workload and make necessary adjustments in meeting strict deadlines
• Ability to guide and supervise the work of others
• Strong organizational, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal, written, presentation and computer skills to facility close work with clients, field personnel and internal departments in achieving deadlines and quality work
• Ability to maintain continual client contact during entire design and construction and maintain that relationship between the client and the company
• Experience with AutoCAD
• 3D modeling software is an asset
