The Challenge
ILWU Credit Union had a small branch in the local Honolulu union hall. Looking to provide greater access for their members, ILWU entered into a lease for space in The Shops at Dole Cannery.

The Journey
With extensive experience in tenant improvements for lease space in the Honolulu market and a local project team already in place, they selected NewGround as their design partner. To stay on budget, NewGround self-performed much of the work and relied on trusted and cost-effective local subcontractors.
The Destination
Providing all architectural, engineering, interior design, and construction services, NewGround transformed the 1,776 square foot branded retail environment to enhance the member experience. ILWU’s logo and signature bright orange and blue brand colors are integrated throughout the space, complete with video conferencing technology, private offices, and an overall bigger branch to better serve members.
