Main office opens its doors with a new design
CHESTERFIELD, Mo., December 4, 2019–NewGround, a St. Louis-based innovative architecture, design, and project management firm, recently celebrated the grand opening for 1st Summit Bank’s main office in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on November 18.
The 8,350 square foot main office renovation features newly-renovated retail, lending, trust, and board room areas, alongside additional office space for employees in the retail lobby. Switching from a teller line to the universal banker model, 1st Summit Bank now utilizes a cash bar and cash recyclers.
Through the modern, strongly-branded interior using local photography, environmental graphics, updated LED lighting, and updated mechanicals, the new space has increased building efficiency and significantly reduced energy costs.
A departure from their traditional look, feel, and delivery, the main office showcases modern retail design concepts that mirror 1st Summit Bank’s Ebensburg branch office, another NewGround design. Strong branding with tablets and large digital displays allows their environment to reflect and enhance their relationship banking culture.
NewGround provided design, interiors, Studio One25 environmental graphics, digital, project management, and change management services for the refreshed main office space, which remained occupied throughout renovation during each construction phase.
