NewGround will design, deliver new Oklahoma City branch
CHESTERFIELD, Mo., March 22, 2019–NewGround, a St. Louis-based innovative architecture, design, and delivery firm, recently celebrated the groundbreaking for Mabrey Bank’s new flagship branch in Oklahoma City, Okla.
A loyal NewGround partner on many projects since 1954, Mabrey Bank’s upcoming flagship location represents a new design direction with a fresh look. While incorporating many of the same features as their other locations, such as native stone exteriors, this design will provide a more modern “prairie” style.
The new 10,250 square foot flagship facility will include a full-service retail branch with a three-lane drive-up and will feature commercial banking offices, support workstations, and conference facilities. For a contemporary, slightly traditional “prairie” style design, the exterior combines natural stone and masonry, along with expansive glazing and sleek metal panel accents with massing and strong horizontal lines. The interior design features a clerestory in the lobby, warm accent colors, and wood ceiling treatments. A dramatic hanging sculptural feature will also be commissioned in line with the bank’s history of displaying fine art throughout their facilities.
The design includes “future-proofing” for technologies to be implemented at a later date. A mother’s room will also be available to accommodate those who need additional privacy.
NewGround employees who attended the groundbreaking event included Zach Gordon, Dean Wilcoxen, and Bruce Wolferding.
